Scientology: A New Slant On Life

One of the first books I read on Scientology was Scientology: A New Slant On Life. I found it to be a great introduction because it not only gave me useful tools (such as the two rules for happy living) but you got to see the viewpoint of the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard. To me that was important because this is the guy who came up with this stuff, so getting a vibe of what he is like and how he looks at the world gave me a good feel for the subject itself.

Education and Learning

Kids can have a tough time at school. A few months ago a friend of mine was told by her son's school that he needed drugs to help him do better. Instead of taking that route she contacted a professional tutor who uses the study technology developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. It turned out that the boy's bad behavior came from not understanding some basics of math - the subject he was misbehaving in. Using the Hubbard method the tutor was able to find what the kid didn't get and then clear it up. Now he's doing fine and isn't a "problem" any more. Makes you wonder how many kids are on "behavioral" drugs such as Ritalin and Prozac just because they don't understand something.
