The Scientology Handbook was originally called the Volunteer Ministers Handbook, which was published in 1976 and launched the Scientology Volunteer Ministers movement.
It is still the textbook of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers.
This was all born out of L. Ron Hubbard's research in 1972 and 1973 into the depths to which society had descended, and it was his concept of how to re-instill a potent religious influence in society.
