Discovering Scientology: Starting a Successful Marriage Course

Now here is a course a lot of people could use. In fact I wish I'd taken this course before my first marriage, perhaps it would have been as successful as my second (and final!) one. In fact, I applied the data on the Starting a Successful Marriage Course prior to my second marriage and it sure worked: my wife and have been married for 12 years now and we are still as happy as the first day!

Discovering Scientology: How to Improve Conditions in Life Course

Improving conditions is what Scientology is all about. I think everyone realizes that the conditions in their life could improve. In fact a basic truth discovered in Scientology is that things either get better or they get worse, nothing stays the same. I've used the data in the How to Improve Conditions in Life Course to help myself and others to turn around bad situations, to improve conditions that were just okay and to maintain improvements.

Discovering Scientology: How to Improve Relationships with Others Course

Relationships can be a tough area. When I first came across Scientology I was extremely shy so establishing relationships was hard. After learning the data on this course I was able to finally establish lasting relationships with others and was able to handle situations where relationships went wrong or got strained. It's a wonderful course: How to Improve Relationships with Others Course

Discovering Scientology: Personal Values and Integrity Course

For years we've heard talk about "self-esteem" but the people who talk about it never provide workable methods of achieving true self-esteem. Self-esteem is strongly tied to personal integrity and when you lose your personal integrity, you have lost one of the most important things an individual has.

The Personal Values and Integrity Course gives you knowledge on what personal integrity is and then gives you tools to increase or repair your own. It's a great course. I did it many years ago and it caused some very positive changes in, not only my life, but also in the way I viewed and lived life. I've been much happier since.

L. Ron Hubbard on "What is Greatness?"

L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, was a man of great compassion who had tremendous faith in mankind. He demonstrated this in much of his writing but probably nowhere more than in the article "What is Greatness?" in which he said, "To love in spite of all is the secret of greatness. And may very well be the greatest secret in this universe." The entire article can be read here: What is Greatness?

The Way To Happiness

Although the book "The Way To Happiness" is not a religious publication, Scientologists use the precepts (rules) in the book to help them live better lives and help their fellow man. The book is amazingly effective in helping people get along. Just look at this quote from Mr. Gregory L. Smith, Director of Partnership Management, National Headquarters of the American Red Cross: "Both Muslim and Christian participants agreed that The Way to Happiness could facilitate the realization of peace between warring factions." It's not often that you see something like that!

The Way To Happiness Foundation distributes the book throughout the world. It's goal is to restore honesty and trust through the use of the common sense moral code contained in the book.

Right now you can get a free eBook version of The Way To Happiness book so click the link, download and read!

What Scientology Can Do: Communication & Lasting Relationships

If you want to improve your life in the area of getting along with others and forming lasting relationships then I highly recommend the Success Through Communication Course. It was the first course I did in Scientology and, apart from being an excellent introduction to the subject, it made a huge difference in my life. I became much more out going and was able to get along much better with others. I've used the skills I learned to improve my situation at work, to help friends through difficulties and much more besides.

Scientology Basics: The Factors

Between 1923 and 1953, L. Ron Hubbard did a tremendous amount of research into the spiritual nature of man. In 1953 he published a summation of this examination, which he called "The Scientology Factors". At first glance one may feel they only apply to perhaps the creation of the universe or something equally rarefied, but on closer examination you can see how they can apply to everyday things such as buying a car. For example, taking a look at Factor 1: Before the beginning was a Cause and the entire purpose of the Cause was the creation of effect. Before going to buy a car (before the beginning) one should figure out what effects he intends to create with the car. Do you want to impress your peers or do you want to protect the environment? Working this out before the beginning means that you know your goal and can then be successful in achieving it. Without applying Factor 1 you could end up buying a lemon.

Scientology Basics: The Scientology Axioms

Scientology is a religious philosophy. Most people in the western world don't really know what a religious philosophy is. To most westerners a religion means you believe in God and you carry out some form of worship because that is what they see others doing or it's what they do themselves. A religious philosophy on the other hand is a body of knowledge about the spiritual nature of man that one studies and then uses in his everyday life. That is what Scientology is and one of the basic pieces of wisdom used in Scientology is the "Scientology Axioms". The axioms are concise statements of basic truths about the nature of the human spirit. For example, the question "What is communication?" is answered in Axiom 28.

The Scientology Axioms are available for you to study on the Internet: Scientology Axioms

Applied Scholastics -

The Solution in the Field of Education

It amazes me sometimes how people manage to keep up in our modern society, but then I take a closer look and I see that despite the cell phones on every ear and the programmable TVOs in so many front rooms, most people aren't.

For example, my wife recently advertised for a receptionist at the company she works. She got over 200 applications. 200 people applying for a receptionist position at $10 an hour seemed like a great opportunity to get a high quality person, but out of that 200 there were only 5 who met the literacy and other standards needed for such a position. This is what our educational system producing, semi-literate people who can't even qualify to be a receptionist. I'd say our educators needed some help.

Well that's what Applied Scholastics is all about - help for educators and anyone who wants to learn anything. Here are some links to give you more data:

I hope those give you some helpful ideas.
